Played the first game when it first came out.

Tails.  He's the one I can most easily identify with, and thus most readily write the way I want to.

3. Who is your favorite Sonic Villain?

Tie between Metal Sonic and SatAM's Dr. Robotnik.

4. What is your favorite Sonic music?

Tie between "City Escape" and "Open Your Heart" from Sonic Adventure 2.  But "I Want to Fly High" is a very close second.

5. Before MLP: FiM, what were your thoughts on My Little Pony?

Scootaloo, Apple Bloom, Sweetie Belle, Discord.  I would add Spike, but I don't consider him a minor character.

9. What got you into the crossover of Sonic MLP?

Saw comics comparing Sonic and Rainbow, and I got an idea to write a crossover ship fic.  That's also what got me so heavily into MLP.

Maybe later.  Glitchy touchscreens make those things difficult.  However, I will say for crossover shippings, My OTP's are Sonic x Rainbow and Shadow x Twilight, and don't talk to me about Regular Show.  Ever.  *shudder* That thing is like nails on a chalkboard to me.

Today is my Mom's birthday.  However, she isn't as social online as I am, so I'm the only one wishing her a happy birthday.

If anyone reading this would, perchance, act to change that in a positive direction, I'd greatly appreciate it.  I think it would make her happy if she knew all my friends online also wished her well, even if she doesn't fully get the whole online interaction thing.

Instead of studying and working on my homework like I should, I decide to procrastinate and make this mini interview! If you have been tagged, you have no choice but to do this! Well, I hope you will enjoy answering these questions!

1) What made you want to become a writer?

I always enjoyed creating stories in my head, but I never really had hte confidence to put them on paper.  Then I saw one of the Teen Titans artworks by and got inspiration, and I wrote for it.  That opened the floodgates.

2) What is your source of inspiration?

The main three things that inspire me to write are:

3) Who is/are your favorite writer(s)? (it can be anyone!) Is there anything significant about them?

Hmm...Robert Aspirin of the "Phule's Company" series, because I love his M.A.S.H. style military comedy.  Piers Anthony for his hilarious fantasy and sci-fi.  Orson Scott Card for the "Ender's Game" series.  Heinlein for "Stranger in a Strange Land".  Brian Jaques for the "Redwall" series.  And , for the wonderful webcomic, "El Goonish Shive".

4) Do you know what's your writing style? (What makes yours so unique from other writers?)

Honestly, I still have no idea what it is about my riting that makes people love it so much.

5) When do you usually write stories?

WHenever I have inspiration.

6) What keeps you going?

My fans enjoying my work, and the fact that writing is fun.

7) What's the main thing you focus on when you write?

The story, and whatever music I'm using to block out the world and set the mood.

8) Is your work usually planned or spontaneously created?

Spontaneous.  I get the idea, it shapes the story, and my fingers on the keyboard become an irreverant medium for the story that pours forth from the deep reccesses of my brain

9) Do you prefer typing straight on the computer, or writing out a draft first?

Straight to the computer.

10) How often do you write stories?

Varies.  When I first started writing, I wrote 4-5 chapters a day.  More recently, I've slowed down, as I've been having trouble coming up with how to expand my current stories.

11) What's your latest story called? (Yes, you're advertising your work here! xD)

My most recent written story is a present for , called Fire and Ice 11. The Journey Begins
"Freezer!  Freezer, it's time to wake up!"
Freezer shook himself away from his sister's nudging claws.  "Five more minutes..."
There was a gusty sigh.  "Have it your way."  With a sweep of her tail, Flare sent Freezer into the nearby lake.
Freezer came up sputtering, glaring at his sister.  "What did you do that for, Sis?"  He glared up at the orange and red reptile standing over him, her wings furled carefully against her back as her yellow eyes concealed mirth at his predicament.
She shook her head at her younger brother, her horns gently nudging some branches.  The little blue reptile just glared up at her through magenta eyes as he fanned his wings angrily.  "Mom wants us to gather dinner today.  If you want to eat tonight, you'd better get up.  You know the rules, if you don't help get the food, you don't get any."
"I'm coming, I'm coming!"  Freezer scrambled up out of the lake, shaking the water off of h
My most recent updated story is a MLP:FiM story called MLP: Whatever It Takes - I Love You 11. Changes
"Come on, Scoots," Rainbow Dash said as she nudged her new little sister.  "It's time to get up."
Scootaloo stirred breifly.  "It's too early..." she mumbled, burying her head under the pillows, not really awake or even fully aware of her surroundings.
Rainbow Dash smiled.  She remembered she had been like this about mornings once, to.  She remembered how her folks had dealt with it.  Leaning in to where Scoot's ear was under the pillow, she whispered, "I made pancakes."
"Pancakes!" Scootaloo shouted happily, leaping into the air...promptly burying her head in the cloud ceiling.
Laughing, Rainbow Dash pulled Scootaloo out of the ceiling and hugging her.  "Can't do pancakes every morning, but figured I'd do something special for your first day living here."
Scootaloo smiled huge, her wings buzzing happily.  "Thanks, sis!"  Scootaloo still wasn't used to calling Rainbow Dash that...but she was sure she'd get used to it before too long.

That varies so much I don't think I can answer.

Romance.  Just about every story I write has some element of romance in it.

15) How do you want your work to impact your readers?

I want my readers to enjoy it, and I strive to get an emotional response.

16) Are you thinking of becoming a professional author someday?

Yes, though I have no idea if I'll ever be able to create an original story.

17) Do you like to create your own stories or create fanfictions? Why?

Fanfictions, mostly.

18) Insecurity is not a good thing, but everyone has it. Name one (or more) thing(s) you hate about your work.

While I'm very insecure about how people will respond to my work...I don't think there is anything in it I could say that I hate.

19) Now name your strengths in writing (be it your opinion not others).

I've been told I write very believable romance and excellent sex scenes.

20) What is usually the first thing people tell you when they finish reading your work?

Generally, that it's amazing.

21) How does writing help you?

...I don't know how to answer that.

22) Do you prefer to write series or one shots?

It varies.  WHile I enjoy writing long series, it leaves me with the commitment to finish...which sometimes really drives me crazy, especially because I hate to leave things unfinished.

My Little Pony: Friendship is Magic

I recently got into this show, thanks to a webconic called "Friendship is Dragons," which can be found here.

After reading the comic, I heard that it was pretty close to the show, so I decided to give it a watch...only to find myself enjoying the show immensely.
After so long avoiding anything to do with this show, I now find myself...a brony.
It's not so bad.  The show wasn't at all what I expected, and it works really well...although I admit, the bit at the end of nearly every episode where Twilight Sparkle writes a letter to Princess Celestia about what she's learned about friendship seems to be a little strong on the morals, making me wish for the Animaniacs Wheel of Morality.  However, the rest of it is pretty good.  The plot is actually believable (or as believable as you can get given the setting), the hurdles realistic, and - what really carries the show...the characters.  Just wow, the characters.
Each of the main characters I find myself liking for different reasons.  I'll list them off here, in order.

1. Rainbow Dash
Rough and tumble, competitive, a real love of life...I mean, the first thing she does in episode one is tackle Twilight Sparkle into a mud puddle.  Energized, unapologetic, and full of zest, always raring to go for ANYTHING...what's not to like?

1. Fluttershy
That's not a typo, these two are tied for first place in my book.  As for why I like Fluttershy so much, I can sum that up with three scenes from season one.

After seeing this, I just wanna squeeze her!  TOO PRECIOUS!  She was an instant fave with this scene from episode one.

After this one, I had no words...because I was laughing so hard.
Honestly, if I were to actually want to have anything of this show, Fluttershy and Rainbow Dash are the only two I'd want stuff of...Fluttershy first!

3. Pinkie Pie
Crazy, random, and always a blast.  I often find myself trying to follow her thought process...and sometimes scare myself by succeeding.  Always trying to make people smile, I see a lot of myself in her, actually.

4. Applejack
A hard working country girl who loves her friends and is never afraid to get rough when it's called for.  A pony after my own heart.

5. Twilight Sparkle
A rather bookwormish girl who has no real idea how to handle social situations, but is desperate to fit in and make friends once she realizes how much fun it can be.  It's almost scary how much I identify with her...if not for what I mentioned with the "moral of the day" letter, she'd be higher up on the list.

6. Rarity
I'll admit, I don't really identify with Rarity at all.  She comes across as rather snooty, though it does seem like most of that is a facade.  However, she's rather obsessed with appearances, and, well...I'm rather not.


Watching the show - I've finished season 1 in the past three or four days since I started watching - I did find quite one question I had that the show hasn't answered yet, and it's been bothering me.  Maybe someone here can answer it.

About Princess Celestia and Luna...who are their parents?  How come we never see them?  And if their folks aren't around, why isn't one of them Queen?

I now have one more thing to add.  After watching the whole series - and seeing quite a bit of fan material - ...I find myself very fond of Luna.  If ever MLP could be said to have a tragic heroine, it's her.  I find myself wanting to cradle her gently in my arms and tell her everything's going to be okay...
