5. Student
Flare awoke slowly, blinking in the pre-dawn light. She stood up and stretched, staring around at her surroundings. She was in a room in a stone building of some sort, with lots of windows to let in the light. Turning, she saw Freezer curled up in a tight ball in the corner, blanket pulled over himself tightly. She reached over to tug on the blanket, only to have Freezer curl into an even tighter ball, pulling the blanket even more tightly about him.
Chuckling, she decided he was safe enough here to be left to sleep. Turning, she stepped through the door to see where they were...and gasped.
It was a huge city built of wood
4. Teacher
Flare awoke a few days after the iceberg was formed. At first, she wasn't too sure about the ape now called 'Friend', but he was plainly a good influence on Freezer. Also, his knowledge of nature lore and survival skills beyond what she knew of her home forest would greatly increase their chances of surviving on their journey to find the dragons. That, and he also knew where the major dragon sanctuaries - the Dragon Temple and Warfang - were located, and could guide them there. She also knew just how well he could fight. Finally, as he had given her every reason to trust him and no reason not to, she accepted him.
They passe
3. Friend
Flare dove fast and strong, managing to catch hold of Freezer before he'd fallen too far. It was at that point, however, that she realized a major problem. There was nothing to catch hold of to halt her descent. She twisted and turned, trying to find something, but all she could see was the whipping wind, and all she could hear were Freezer's screams. In desperation, she did the only thing her paniced mind could think of.
She spread her wings.
Her wings caught the air, although she screamed in pain as the velocity tore at her joints, and they were both now gliding outward from Tall Plains at a rapid rate. The ground zipped b
2. Journey
Freezer watched his sister make camp once more, rolling onto his back and kicking his feet in the air. "I'm BORED!" he said in irritation. "I thought we were going on an adventure, but nothing's happened! It's just a whole bunch of grass and strange trees. Aren't adventures supposed to be more...adventury?"
Flare looked at Freezer through half lidded eyes. "Freezer, we're walking an unknown amount of distance to an unknown destination on a journey of self discovery while avoiding drawing attention to ourselves. How much more...adventury...do you want it?"
"I want some excitement already! Are we there yet?"
Flare smirked
1. The Journey Begins
"Freezer! Freezer, it's time to wake up!"
Freezer shook himself away from his sister's nudging claws. "Five more minutes..."
There was a gusty sigh. "Have it your way." With a sweep of her tail, Flare sent Freezer into the nearby lake.
Freezer came up sputtering, glaring at his sister. "What did you do that for, Sis?" He glared up at the orange and red reptile standing over him, her wings furled carefully against her back as her yellow eyes concealed mirth at his predicament.
She shook her head at her younger brother, her horns gently nudging some branches. The little blue reptile just glared up at her throug

Through My Eyes
I have many names, depending on who you ask. Mother calls me Bumgorf. Father calls me Itsy-Bitsy-Wormikins. My step-dad and Uncle call me Silkie. The other one - I am unsure if she is aunt or step-mom - doesn't call me at all, other than "Hey, you".
This is a strange family, you say? Complicated? I do not think so. This is my family. Therefor, it is beautiful.
My eyes are not like those of others. I remember what it was like when I had spread my wings, and saw as others do. Colors were different than they are now. Through these eyes, all the world is gray. Only life has color. But from when my wings were spread
Letting Go
Galfore sat in the antechamber, staring in the tiny glass in his hand. He had been waiting there for some time, lost in his thoughts. He could hardly believe that this had come to pass...and he did not know if he was ready for it.
Looking up as the door opened, a huge grin spread on his face. "BATMAN!" he proclaimed happily, pulling the Dark Knight into a tight embrace. "Our meeting is much too long delayed!"
"Yes," Batman said, struggling to breath. "Much too long, Galfore." As Galfore released him, he brushed himself off. "We have a lot to talk about...although now is unfortunately the wrong time for it."
"Too true," G

"Raven! Raven, wake up!"
Raven opened her eyes. As her vision came into focus, at first all she could see was green. Then, after a few gasping breaths, she saw green eyes gazing down at her. "Gar..." she whispered, before pulling him to her, crying.
"Easy there, Rae, easy." Desperately, Garfield tried to comfort his wife. "Easy. It's okay. It was just a dream."
After a time, Raven managed to calm down. "But, Garfield...I'm not so sure..."
He smiled at her. "Rae, remember what the doctor said?" He placed his hands on Raven's heavily swollen abdomen. "Your hormones have been going crazy cause of

After retrieving the key from the man in charge, Michael unlocked Rachel's collar. She rubbed her neck, still a little sore. "Much better...though it will be some time before I'm up to anything else. Take me to my kids, okay?" She rubbed her eyes. "...I need a shower, a nap, and some quality time with my husband once he wakes up..." she mumbled.
Loading her into the car, they drove back to Madeline's house, Bobby having turned himself invisible again. Back at the house, Rachel stepped out, and the kids practically bust down the door running to her. "MOMMY!" they shouted out together, clambering all over her.
